Carole King does not have a facebook page

What is wrong with this picture? Carole King, the singer/songwriter recently picked to be the theme for American idol - does not have her own facebook page. Some one shoot her publicist (just kidding) immediately - and while I am at it - doesn't it suck that I have to say I am joking,  just in case some whack job - you know who you are! takes me seriously and we get sued?

What she has instead is a page that is taken from the wikipedia commons and a link to her own website. The wikipedia entry is not exactly authoritative and the link to her website is a redirect to some long-defunct site called troubadour(dash)reunion (dot)com.  Weird stuff. You would have thought a decent PR company would have jumped all over this and made as much moola as possible. If I knew anyone at all in the business - I would be all over it.

With facebook and twitter becoming more and more important in any media campaign - this is inexcusable. Carole - drop me a line if you are reading this.
