Queen Latifa needs some facebook love if she is going to get her new series up and running. Currently, her facebook page has a measly 260,000 likes – no where near enough to impress anyone. This is her facebook page – so, go like it. Like Neil Diamond, her success was mostly pre-twitter and facebook marketing and I suspect her target audience does not login to face book every day – as us younger folks do.

Neil Diamond, who was just presented with the “Icon” award at the 2011 Billboard music awards, has only got less than 260,000 “likes” on his facebook page. I guess this is indicative of the age of people using facebook regularly.

I find it fascinating to see which celebrities make the most of using facebook to promote themselves. Sting kicks ass at doing so, whereas Lindsey Lohan does not seem interested. I usually take a look a google trends to see what is going on, and Chelsea Handler seems to be all the rage – so I had a looksee and – she is not half bad at self promotion, with1.6 million “likes” at the moment. It certainly is interesting looking at who gets up to what on the celebrity facebook profiles. Neither Lindsay Lohan, nor Carole King can be bothered, and have generic, copied-from-wikipedia profiles. Lady Gaga obviously has a great publicist, because her page has the most likes on facebook.
