At the back end of 2010, a new Facebook registration app appeared on the market. It takes social networking to the next level by by socially engaging with users on-site. By way of a diminutive yet powerful line of code, websites get to offer an optional Facebook login form directly from their website. It's customizable - the choice of what to include in the registration form is down to the individual website's idea of what info's required, and what's not.

There’s a ton of Facebook signs, many of which appear on walls all over the social networking sites userbase on a regular basis. The more common ones are hearts and smiley faces, these are easy to copy and paste, or they’re fairly easy to remember if you prefer to use the numeric method of typing them into your status.

It certainly is nice to see some celebs actually interacting with their followers, and Oprah Winfrey's twitter page certainly gives that impression. This is the page, and with only 6.5 million followers, she is still lagging behind Lady Gaga on facebook (32 MILLION likes) but seriously kicking Queen Latifa's facebook ass because she only has 260,000 facebook likes.

What are facebook jokes? To the uninitiated they’re a bit of a mix between a funny facebook status and a one liner. There are plenty out there, most to date have been used, reused, rehashed and reinvented but that’s the nature of comedy and the way in which these things work. Unless you’re a natural comic and can churn out joke after joke (original ones) then you’re kinda relegated to using those of others and revamping them enough to make them sound a little more original.

If you’ve got any facebook complaints, good luck with that. A friend of mine recently had a photo removed; something to do with the fact that she didn’t have much on by way of clothing. She wanted to complain to facebook, point out that (probably) most of the social networking sites users are either scantily clad or posing in a fashion that would make you wonder they did for a job.

All right - I have come to a conclusion about facebook. Facebook is a total, complete and utter time-waster. There may (or may not) be some sort of marketing/networking benefits, but - by and large - I waste my time there. I join discussion groups to talk about stupid stuff; I argue with people because everyone seems to want to be an expert about everything and when I look at what I have achieved after hours of "social networking," and guess what? I have achieved nothing. Nothing I tells Ya!

Queen Latifa needs some facebook love if she is going to get her new series up and running. Currently, her facebook page has a measly 260,000 likes - no where near enough to impress anyone. This is her facebook page - so, go like it. Like Neil Diamond, her success was mostly pre-twitter and facebook marketing and I suspect her target audience does not login to face book every day - as us younger folks do.

Neil Diamond, who was just presented with the "Icon" award at the 2011 Billboard music awards, has only got less than 260,000 "likes" on his facebook page. I guess this is indicative of the age of people using facebook regularly.
